Paper Dolls and Magnetic Dolls

My grandmother's attic was filled with old copies of McCall's magazine, I spent many an hour up there playing with Betsy McCall and her family. Although Betsy McCall's very long run ended in 1999, the allure of paper dolls is still with us. A fun and economical way to play with dolls, there are now also many magnetic versions of dolls, as well as "sandwich board" style dolls such as Woodkins. The idea in every case is the same - mix and match outfits, even expressions, and it's very satisfying to see the results with endless combinations.
