Which is noisiest? Which is furriest or most dramatic or brightest? Compare and decide. In Apples to Apples, players select a card from their hand that is most like the card played by "the judge" (and everyone gets a chance to be The Judge). If The Judge decides your card matches his or her card, you win that round. Apples to Apples builds thinking and vocabulary skills. Be serious or silly. Play at home or in the classroom. 4-10 players, 20-30 min. per game. Ages 7 and up, requires reading.

OK, here's the personal note. My family is completely addicted to this game. The kids get silly, the adults get silly, and we have a whole slew of family jokes that have sprung from playing the game (ahm... Please don't ask me who is cuter - my husband or Flipper! - It's an Apples to Apples thing). It can be easily modified to the different players, and you can change the mode of play to fit the group or your own mood. It's absolutely brilliant, and no house should be without at least one box of Apples to Apples.
